Inverted siphon vibro-jetting procedure for Rhine River crossing near Vallendar, West Germany
Jetting-in pipe is of rigid steel construction with square profile and beveled edges; apparatus consists of superimposable parts which show depth; base is 5 m high with upward jets ejecting water under 10 to 12 atm; jets have capacity of 8 to 10,000 liter/min; base also has outlet bend that places pipes at 90° angle into prepared trench; depending on parts used on basic jet mechanism depth of 30 m can be worked.
