Accelerating heating up of open hearth furnaces
Experience of Nizhnii Tagil Metallurgical Combine showed that complete preheating of basic gas-fired open hearth furnaces, after overhauling, can be achieved in 60 to 62 hr and 22 to 25 hr after intermediate cold repairs of top and bottom of furnaces; mazutfired and natural gas-fired furnaces can be preheated even more rapidly after cold repairs (in 12 to 15 hr).
