Study of time-strain behaviour of coal-measure rocks
Three types of loading devices were evoloved for creep tests described in this paper, two were used in compressive creep-tests, other was bending beam system; creep experiments using bending beam apparatus were conducted on specimens of Pennant Sandstone and on specimens of calcareous sandstone from Wolstanton coal mine creep experiments in uniaxial compression were conducted on specimens of sandstone from Markham coal mine, siltstone from Wolstanton coal mine, and nodular, muddy limestone from Warsop coal mine.
