Mechanized tunnel lining using pumped cement packing in pressure ground (panel lining); development of new type of precast reinforced concrete lining for underground roadways in difficult conditions and its main features; questions of yielding and rigid lining; working requirements; advantages of pumped cement packing and applications of test results; pressure effects disappeared as result of use of cement packing that was brought close to tunnel face; this new technique permits considerable acceleration of tunnel driving rates by controlling pressure effects.
