Shock wave attenuation in elastic and anelastic rock media
Investigation of close-in phenomena that occur in intensely shocked rock immediately adjacent to detonating explosive charge; specific aspects studied include propagation velocities, free surface velocities, pulse attenuations and determination of equations of state for test rocks employed; in addition, series of tests was conducted to indicate dependence of test results on charge diameter utilized.
