Corrosion of stainless steel wire cloth chest prosthesis; pitted and deteriorated prosthesis was removed from chest of woman and macroscopic and microscopic examination were carried out to determine cause of severe corrosion; important features such as drawing grooves of wires, patchy nature of corrosive attack on warp wires, and pitting corrosion of wires were investigated.
