Half mile terminating section of Jones Falls expressway in Baltimore, Md, travels above watercourse; work done in 30 ft deep channel; 47 by 18 ft two-and three-celled conduit built; streambed lowered 10-20 ft; total excavation of 58,000 cu yd; wooden flume required 48,000 fbm lumber; flash floods hindered work; dam was washed away; new temporary spillway built.
