Supply being increased by construction of new pumping station on shores of Lake of Geneva, at Lutry; supply to be drawn from lake at point 1240 ft from shore, and 124 ft below surface; pipe is of mild steel 47 cm internal diam and 8 mm in thickness, electrically welded throughout with exception of two flanged joints in its total length of 1315 ft; pipe was constructed in short lengths by Giovanola Freres S. A.
