Sydney harbour bridge
Mar 18: On total width of 160 ft, bridge carries four railway tracks, roadway 57 ft wide, sufficient for six lines of vehicular traffic, and two 10-ft footways; design and construction of bridge; historical and personal; arch span is carried on two hinges lying at height of 27 ft 6 in. above mean water level, and spaced 1650 ft apart, center to center. Mar 25: Specification requirements and materials; particulars of specified loadings; approach spans. Apr 1: Pylons and foundations for main bearings. Apr 8: Arch-span trusses; characteristic arch-truss connections. Apr 15: Main-arch span; manufacture of steel work. Apr 22: Anchorages; erection of arch trusses. Apr 29: Closing of half-arches; erection of deck hangers and of deck; concluding operations.
