Hot galvanizing as corrosion protection in steel construction
Economy of hot galvanizing compared with other means of corrosion protection is pointed out, and data are given in evidence thereof; differences in metallurgical behavior of surfaces of silicon-free and silicon-containing steels in hot galvanizing, as well as positive effect of paint coat on lifetime of zinc coatings, particularly in corrosive atmosphere, are discussed.
