Fundamental general reflections on determination of tilting and subsiding of rigid rectangular foundations
Formulas are derived for tilt angle and subsidence of finite rectangular foundation; effect of stiffness coefficient increase with increase in depth, effect of quickly variable eccentric load due to sudden wind gust on building, influence of displacement of building's gravity center on increase in foundation tilt, and other particular cases of loading are investigated.
