Ultimate-load analysis of edge-loaded foundation slabs
In defining variation of soil pressure in general manner to cover variation from purely cohesive to purely cohesionless states, upper and lower bounds are determined for load carrying capacity of edge-loaded rectangular foundation slab; results are plotted for wide range of geometrical and soil pressure parameters; procedure for applying results to case of orthotropy is also indicated.
