Submarine spring discharge using radioactive tracers
New method of measuring discharge rates of submarine springs is described; method is based on dilution analysis of radioactive slug within fixed volume dilution cell; special conditions existing in spring discharging hot and saline water through funnel-shaped crater, on bottom of Sea of Galilee, provide necessary conditions for dilution analysis; experimental field results support feasibility of proposed method.
