To study nonlinear effect of irregular shape and slope of open channel on flow, it is suggested that Brownian motion model to simulate channel irregularity be used; irregular shape and slope of channel are considered to be determined by "random walk" paths of imaginary particles; diffusion coefficient of these particles in (Brownian) motion is suggested as indicator of channel roughness.
