Block coefficient and longitudinal center of buoyancy variation series resistance and propulsion tests; experiments were carried out in still water on two series of models of trawler forms to determine in one case effect on resistance and propulsion of varying block coefficient, and in other effect on resistance and propulsion of varying position of longitudinal center of buoyancy; parent form represented trawler with dimensions 150 ft bp by 26 ft 4 in. molded breadth by 13 ft 2 in. molded draft, with displacement of 847 tons at design trim by stern of 45% of equivalent level trim draft.
