A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Environmental research and building practice
For some forms of building, especially for industry, there is tendency to rely to greater extent on permanent artificial lighting either as integrated supplement to daylight (PSALI) or as only source of operational light; concept of PSALI and various examples are described; examples where all major environmental features -- lighting, acoustics, heating, ventilation and air-cooling -- are also presented; concept of windowless building and future trends.
