General wave characteristics and structural damage caused by waves were studied in damage survey; portion of survey which pertained to onshore effects is reported; included are studies of height of wave, structural damage caused by wave, and pressures on structures from force of wave; velocity of wave was estimated by three different methods; damage caused by Tsunami is described together with various conditions which affected degree of damage.
