Cylindrical shell analysis by dynamic relaxation
Application of dynamic relaxation to analysis of cylindrical shells using full shell equations; cylindrical arch dam in Arch Dam Committee standard valley demonstrated ease of satisfying mixed boundary conditions, and showed good agreement with standard solution; progressive elimination of terms from shell equations allowed comparisons to be made with thin shell and shallow shell theories.
