Willard dam
Dam serves as storage unit for winter and early spring flows of Weber and Ogden river water which is surplus to requirements, and which was previously wasted into Great Salt Lake; located in northern part of Utah, 11 mi northwest of Ogden, dam is U-shaped, zoned, rolled-earth embankment with slope protection consisting of 3 ft of rock riprap on upstream face; its volume is 17,060,000 cu yd, height 36 ft, crest elevation 4235.0 ft, crest length 76,665 ft, crest width variable -- 25 to 50 ft and maximum base width 455 ft; report of design and construction covers general planning, historical information, description of features, summary of costs, preliminary investigations, and geology.
