Finite-element analysis of seepage through dams
General method of seepage analysis using finite-element method is developed for use on digital computer; seepage through dams and around double wall cofferdam near face of slope is considered; seepage region may be nonhomogeneous and nonuniformly anisotropic; method of locating top flow line or seepage line within specified limits of accuracy is presented; solution of any seepage problem is reduced to standard simple routine requiring negligible engineering time.
