Limitation of leakage through earth dam by means of cement grouting under normal water head
Grouting was conducted at normal water level of reservoir, during continuous operation of power station; dam of 15 m height has upstream slopes sealed with facing of concrete slabs; after 10 yr leakage of water and some settlement proved that seepage is increasing; after surveying, made by using radioisotopes, additional two rows of grouting holes at intervals of 1.4 m between rows and of holes, 4.0 m from each other in rows; after grouting was completed, no leakage or settlements were observed.
