Safety problems in high pressure gas pipe lines; modifications introduced into DIN (West German Standards) in 1966 and concerning specifications for steel pipes are discussed; specifications cover technical and delivery requirements for long distance pipe lines for fuel gases and liquids, (DIN 17172), construction principles for steel pipe lines over 8000 kg/sq cm (DIN 2470), and safety specifications for water and gas pipe lines (DIN 2460, 2461, 1626, 1629).
