Basic roofs, both full and partial, have been employed in shops melting carbon, alloy, and stainless grades of steel; to date, product mix has not been determining factor in economic performance of basic roof; practically without exception basic roofs, both full and partial, are emerging as electric furnace roof concept of present and future.
