Precast reinforced-concrete foundations with two-block shoe under heavily loaded columns
Experimental and theoretical investigations established that there was no advantage in using foundations with number of layers in excess of two; investigations showed that two-layered foundations for loads up to 3000 ton can be accomplished with shoe consisting of two blocks butted along axis of column; experimental specimen of foundation consisted of two-block shoe and three underneath slabs; foundations with loop joint were tested; projections of reinforcement of shoe and column were welded together; tests were carried out on 120 ton hydraulic press.
