Surging in laboratory pipeline with steady inflow
Surges of head and discharge were studied experimentally in laboratory pipe line which had check structure spaced at equal distances along pipe; experiments were made for various inflows which were steady at upstream end of pipe; nonlinear momentum equation was integrated numerically to predict growth of discharge surge from one pipe reach to next; general character of results is presented; results were in good agreement with experiments.
