Improving the entrance to a Bar Harbor by a single jetty
The writer, convinced that there are places where a single jetty will, if properly placed, accomplish all that could be expected of two jetties, decided that Gray's Harbor in the State of Washington was such a place. The improvement of the harbor was so planned, and a description is presented with facts and reason which led to the adoption. (4800 w.)
