Outlook for 1967 anticipates 3% rise in total construction, with all main building categories showing increase and only nonbuilding construction decline; of individual building types, hospitals -- up 13% -- show biggest gain over 1966; detailed analysis of these figures and trends, however, reflects influence of tightened economy; data are tabulated for expenditures in 1966, estimate for 1967 and percentage of change for various types of nonresidential and residential construction, as well as highways, bridges, and utilities.
