A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Over 200 concrete mixes of different composition were tested with various methods of measuring consistency; European versions of penetration test, slump test, flow test and remolding test were used; consistency was evaluated by appearance; test methods and results are presented; formulas are developed for prediction of water need of concrete as function of test method, consistency, cement content and aggregate grading; direct and indirect comparisons are shown to check reliability of new formulas.
