Experimental investigations into deformation resulting from stresses perpendicular to grain in swedish whitewood and redwood in respect of dimensioning of concrete formwork
Fullscale deformation tests were carried out; relationship was obtained which quantitatively describes dependence of deformation resulting from stresses perpendicular to grain upon load length parallel to grain, volume weight, humidity quotient and load time; relations were adapted to applicable grades of structural timber and are represented graphically; application of results provides possibility of calculating and limiting deformations in supporting timber structure of concrete forms.
