Practical calculation of stiffness and deflections of cracked reinforced concrete members
Approximate method for taking into account contribution of web to stiffness of T beams with thin, narrow flanges, and contribution of compressive reinforcement to stiffness of T beams; simple criterion for limiting slenderness of reinforced concrete member is devised for practical use; equations of slenderness criteria for slabs and beams are given for cases in which ratio of maximum deflection to span length is put equal to 1/ 200 for slabs, and to 1/300 for beams.
