Behavior of restrained reinforced concrete columns under sustained load
Method of analysis applies to cross-sections, member lengths, and duration of sustained load, and utilizes numerical integration and trial and error procedures to obtain equilibrium configurations of frameworks under load; concrete was represented as viscoelasto-plastic material and steel was considered to be idealized elasto-plastic material with no time dependent dimensional instability; rate of creep method was used to estimate creep of concrete under variable stress; columns were laterally restrained and were bent in symmetrical single curvature or double curvature with one end of column fixed.
