596 m long 33 m wide four-span bridge consists of pair of torsionally rigid box beams, continuous over five supports; beams are joined by steel plate roadway and system of longitudinal ribs and transverse ties, thus forming indeterminate system with multiple redundancy; deck carries two 11-m double lanes with 1-m divider, two 2.5-m bicycle roadways, and two 2.5-m sidewalks; construction of super-and understructure, stress analysis, prefabrication, assembly. (n 8 Aug 1966 p 225-35, n 9 Sept p 269-77)
