Steel construction of Neckar bridge at Untertuerkheim
Due to situational requirements, 114 m long bridge consists of 37.5 m long prestressed concrete span and 77.0 m long open trough steel span; to ensure least possible deflection of rail track in joint between two spans, latter are suspended from 18.8 high pylons by means of skew tension members made of lengths of steel I-beams welded end-to-end; stress analysis, construction methods.
