French prestressed concrete road bridges
Extremely rapid development of prestressing techniques in field of road bridges took place in France during past 20 yr; structure, configuration, mechanical behavior and aesthetic aspects are discussed; consideration is given to standardization, prefabrication, industrialization, and various methods available for constructing such bridges; their particular technical features are discussed, and summary is given of major French realizations broken down into categories, and into structure types within each category.
