Demountable flyover design
Features of design and construction of prefabricated steel and concrete members of overpass on London-Tilbury road A.13 at Movers Lane, Barking, England; large diameter pile foundations were necessary at Movers Lane, some 48 piles of 24 in. and 36 in. diam being constructed to depths of up to 50 ft through Thames ballast and London clay; deck spans are carried on transverse portal frame trestles pinned in each direction at base; deck spans are of steel and concrete construction, acting compositely, steel-work in each unit comprises two longitudinal universal beams joined by series of transverse members.
