Slope deflection and moment flow graphs
Feedback theory of oriented flow graphs for continuous beam systems is presented based on slope deflection and three-moment theorem; graph of beam system is developed by superimposing basic parametric building blocks -- stiffness and flexibility factors of system members; solutions of angle changes and end-moments can be obtained directly by inspection of branch paths through nodes in graph without recourse to mathematical equations; all external disturbances are treated as input sources; angle changes and end moments are dependent output variables in graphs.
