Elastic lateral buckling of multi-span beams
Effects of continuity and of lateral bracing stiffness on critical load were investigated; types of lateral bracing stiffness considered in study were -- axial, strong-axis flexural and weak-axis flexural; simplified forms of differential equations and equations of continuity and equilibrium at interior joints used in study are presented; effect of lateral bracing at mid-span on lateral buckling load of simply supported beam.
