Terminal consists of three-story main building 700 ft in length with 128,000 sq ft of floor space together with two concourses or fingers of two stories each with 62,500 sq ft of floor space extending out on ramp area from each end of main building; design considerations were for total of 4800 persons per peak hour; general construction is of structural steel frame supported on concrete filled steel piles with masonry and metal curtain walls and large expanses of glass; incoming baggage is obtained by passengers at claim counters; architectural and operational features are described; there are indications that design traffic peak hour loads of 1600 enplaned and deplaned passengers per hour will be exceeded by 1970.
