A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Plane stress model is developed using one-dimensional element for which stiffness matrix can be generated having relatively narrow band of nonzero terms; digital computer program is developed for this type of matrix; program handles problems in plane stress analysis for any boundary conditions or thermal effects and any static loading conditions and also handles framed structures with non-prismatic members; results of several problems in plane stress analysis, including plates that contain holes and notches, are presented.
