Use of stiffness method for analyzing 3-dimensional solids; numerical experiments show importance of using monotonic convergence criteria, and demonstrate desirability of using energy relations to define loading; accuracy of prism geometry over tetrahedron; basis for development of 4 stiffness matrices are presented and coefficients cited for matrices of special interest; 6 loadings on rectangular prism are analyzed.
