Method of evaluation of moderately large deflections of uniformly loaded circular and rectangular plates on elastic foundations of Winkler type; simplified nonlinear equations for flat plate with large deflections are derived; equations are solved for various boundary conditions; numerical results are presented in form of graphs for 2 cases.
