Subsurface water distribution in surface irrigation
Experimental data on subsurface water distribution from level and graded irrigation furrows; data are reduced to dimensionless form for analysis and empirical equations are presented describing subsurface wetting patterns; uniformity of application along irrigation run is shown to be dependent on both infiltration equation of soil and speed at which wetting front traverses irrigation run.
