A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Energy equation and acceleration balance equation of turbulent motion are derived for flows with suspended particles; formulas for changes in characteristic turbulent quantities, including Karman constant, turbulent intensity, life time of eddies, and diffusion coefficient; fairly good agreement between theory developed and published experimental results are shown for sediment-laden flows and special cases of flow with suspensions of neutrally buoyant particles.
