Accuracy of current meter measurements
Laboratory tests and field experience show that accuracy of stream flow measurement made by usual current meter method is approximately 2%; conclusion is based on statistical analysis of component errors of special measurements made on more than 100 different streams, and on results of other investigations reported in literature; standard deviation of each component error in percent of mean is evaluated from laboratory or field measurements; individual variances are combined to give probable total error.
