Galvanic corrosion in concrete containing calcium chloride
Experiments conducted on aluminum and steel sheets, steel-aluminum couples, aluminum conduit and steel reinforcing bars embedded in concrete, exposed to atmosphere and buried in soil, showed that galvanic corrosion of metals embedded in concrete is intensified by additions of calcium chloride to concrete.
