Improvement in concrete by coarse aggregates
Extensive use of concrete with gravel of 30 mm diam in construction of German highway bridges has caused shortage of aggregate of that size; this has led to use of gravel and broken stone from 30 to 70 mm in diam; satisfactory results and often improvement in properties have been obtained; recommendations for mixing of concrete with coarse aggregates.
