New Bascule bridge at Great Yarmouth
Bridge consists of two short spans of 44 ft. each and opening span of 90 ft.; temporary bridge has opening span of 70 ft. 6 in., with clear waterway of 62 ft., supported on timber piling; it was operated electrically; permanent bridge is 230 ft. between abutments, with central span for navigation of 90 ft.; leaves of opening span are of rolling Schertzer type, operated by electrical machinery.
