Investigation of Bur. of Public Roads of value of determining asphalt of 100 penetration in road oils in differentiating between various types and consistencies of oils. As a general conclusion, it is believed that percentage of asphalt gives no information on suitability of a road oil for a given purpose that is not adequately indicated by other well standardized tests.
