Thickness of walls is 7 1/2 in., and they are composed of two 2 1/2-in. skins with a 2 1/2-in. cavity. Two inch blocks were used which in tests showed contraction of 1/512 in. in 27 in. at 20 deg. fahr. below freezing, and expansion of 1/127 in. in 27 in. at 120 deg. fahr.
