Economical design of water coagulation and softening processes
Results obtained by methods of treatment with lime-soda softening, split recarbonation, and split treatment which were used successively at municipal water softening plant of city of Dayton, Ohio during past 6 yr are compared; plant has designed capacity of 96 mgd and consists of four identical 24 mgd units so interconnected that they may be operated either in series or in parallel.
